At Foothill Prep, we prepare our students to make a positive impact on the community and encourage interaction through service and leadership opportunities after school with student clubs.
We believe a well-rounded education not only engages a student academically but also provides them with opportunities to develop essential life skills in the broader world.
Active participation in after school clubs empowers our students to:
We cherish every student for their individuality and have created extracurricular activities to meet a wide array of interests. Students are always welcome to create new clubs with the help of their fellow student body.
To help our students learn about democracy, the school sponsors a Student Council. Students run for office and are elected by the student body. This group holds meetings in which they discuss and plan student events, makes requests of the administration for new events or assemblies, sponsors a Sports Day and helps the administration with other special events.
Students can choose to participate in a wide range of clubs that are offered in the afternoon. The following is a sample of the clubs that have been offered: Sports, Chess, Photography, Yearbook, School Video production, SAT studies, Volunteer (helping at an assisted living center), Cooking, Dancing/exercise, and Drama. The number of clubs offered depends on the amount of interest for each club in that given year.
