It is my pleasure to welcome students and parents interested in learning more about Foothill Preparatory School. From our inception, Foothill Preparatory School has focused on helping our students develop a sense of self-confidence which demands excellence from themselves and of their teachers. We welcome the chance to help our students develop an educational plan based upon their own individual passion for knowledge in a particular subject or career. Since most of our students are planning to continue their education at the university level, the FPS teaching staff is dedicated to providing each student a solid academic foundation which will serve them well at the next level. Our teachers and counselors will assist students throughout the process of preparing, selecting, and applying to the colleges or universities of their dreams.
The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We offer a challenging comprehensive academic program of college preparatory courses designed to help our students qualify for the universities of their choice. In particular, we offer the Advanced Placement (AP) courses and UC-approved (University of California-approved) courses that students need to successfully gain admission to some of the most prestigious colleges and universities.
In addition to the advanced college preparatory curriculum, FPS provides courses for an English learner who is transitioning from their home language to English. The goal for these students is to prepare them to enter the mainstream courses while at FPS.
